Concert by Blankx
On behalf of the Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken, the Saarbrücken musician and event manager Justin Hayo has now invited the band Blankx to play one last concert for the summer of 2022 on the Waldbühne in the Deutsch-Französischer Garten as part of the event series. The band Blankx consists of two musicians who have mastered the power of improvisation. The only specifications: Groove and sound. Michel Meis (drums) and Manuel Krass (keys & electronics) effortlessly mix drum'n'bass with jazz, house with hip-hop and soundscapes with funk. Everything without agreements, everything with a feeling for long suspense arcs and a differentiated sound.

Concert by Zephyrsky
The band Zephyrsky around singer/percussionist Justin Hayo and guitarist Philipp Herget has been an integral part of the Saarland cultural scene for years. In the context of the event they came back to their roots. Before the band came to Germany-wide engagements in a large line-up, they started 9 years ago as street musicians. Together with Zephyrsky, the audience was able to experience a musical journey through time and a glimpse of a promising artistic future.

Jam Session with the Thomas Delor Trio
The Thomas Delor Trio played at the Waldbühne in the Deutsch-Französischer Garten, as part of "Stadtgalerie Draußen".
Unconventional, at the same time catchy and complex, subtle and driving, rhythmic and melodic:
As a bandleader and composer, French drummer Thomas Delor creates relationships through the drums. He develops an unadapted sonority - together with Simon Martineau on the guitar and Georges Correia on the bass.

Storytelling Workshop with Natalie Brück
Subjective perspectives in a collective narrative: what influences our narrative? How do subjective perspectives come together or collide? What rhythm emerges from this?
During the short workshop on September 18th, participants were inspired by the surroundings in the Deutsch-Französischer Garten. Together with the artist, they took a walk through the park and tried to freely associate linguistically and intellectually, from which a poetic spoken word piece was ultimately to emerge.

In the presence of exhaustion
With Hannah Mevis, a lecture-performance for participation, observation and discussion took place on June 24th.
Hannah Mevis graduated in 2017 with a degree in Sculpture and Public Art from the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar. She has been cooperating with the Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken for quite some time, for example for the offer of the Children's Sundays. The focus of Hannah Mevis' artistic and mediating work is the interaction between human and body. The medium is not fixed, chance is a circumstance she provokes and words are a means she likes to use.
