In the Stadtgalerie, he incorporates design processes into his artistic exploration.

Originally intended as fireproof storage for valuables, the fire cabinets designed by Mark Braun in the Stadtgalerie guard (fictitious) life stories. The furniture preserves and protects - not only physical objects, but also memories, identities and experiences.

Mark Braun selectively explores the dynamic and ongoing transit, with a particular focus on the border region. Saarland is characterized by migration, movement and border crossings.
