Rude sayings, short dialogues and bits of language on a yellow background. Lukas Ratius documents snapshots from everyday life. He often listens to the conversations of others as they pass by — for example, on the street or in the Saarbahn. He faithfully reproduces what he hears.
Lukas Ratius documents colloquial speech moment by moment — a procedure that links this work with his photographic work. His documentation is not about depicting everything, but picking out short sequences without them being (necessarily) special.
In the inner courtyard, excerpts from the project can be read in Saarland dialect.
