A new project series at the Stadtgalerie starts: One room, one work, one chair, one voice, and you.

DER EINE RAUM - Lin Mara Krämer

The art collection of the state capital Saarbrücken includes around 1,700 works, mostly by regional artists – and it grows every year. For our project series DER 1 RAUM, we regularly select one artwork from this collection that we want to share with you.

We present individual works that address a particular theme; that tell a story, inspire reflection, and allow us to engage in dialogue with you.

Each solo presentation is accompanied by a tactile model. Don’t we all know the childlike impulse to touch something we are not allowed to? Here, art becomes tangible and experienceable – also for people who cannot see the artwork.

You can come up close and then step back again, listen to the voice, or simply let the work in DER 1 RAUM take effect on you.
