Under the motto FEM*plus, the Frauenbüro (Women’s Office) and numerous organisers invite you to more than 30 events between 29 October and 26 November. On 24 and 25 November there will be artist talks with the director Katharina Ritter (M.A.), artist Natalie Brück and curator Katja Pilisi at the Stadtgalerie.
In cooperation with the Saarbrücker gemeinnützige Siedlungsgesellschaft, the director of the Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken, Katharina Ritter, is supervising the curator Katja Pilisi in her exhibition project for the Master's degree at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar. The exhibition on display from the windows of the Folsterhöhe building presenting artworks by Lukas Ratius has been extended until the end of November!
Every two weeks, the Stadtgalerie, in partnership with Regionalverband Saarbrücken, prensents a new portrait of an artist based in Saarland. With texts, pictures and videos, these portraits aim to present in detail the work of ten artists from the region. You'll find the short videos on our youtube channel.
Out of the center of the city, the Stadtgalerie organizes artistic projects in the urban space. Between July and September the Stadtgalerie invited artists to develop sitespecific performances and workshops on the open air stage at the German French Garden.
As of April 1, Katharina Ritter, M.A. is the new director of the Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken. She wants to structure the Stadtgalerie as a place of critical confidence. The freelance curator has led the Stadtgalerie on an interim basis since August 2020.
