Art Prize Robert Schuman

LUXEMBOURG – METZ – SAARBRÜCKEN – TRIER

Cross-border art at Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken and Saarländisches Künstlerhaus

Opening on 19.11.2021
Exhibition period: 20.11.2021 - 09.01.2022

Since 1991 the Art Prize Robert Schuman has provided a platform for contemporary art in the Greater Region. It is endowed with 10,000 euros. A jury of eight experts, consisting of two art and culture professionals from each city, will announce the winner on opening night.

Four cities from three countries in the Greater Region - Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier - form the QuattroPole city network. As one of the cross-border projects, the Art Prize Robert Schuman connects the art scenes of those cities every second year.

They know their city, the artistic scene and current developments and trends - the curators of the cities of Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier. As experts, they are located in the respective city. They each select four artists as representatives of the art scene.
