Table of Content by ConstructLab
from 9 June to 25 September 2022
ConstructLab work collectively, bringing together diverse people with a wide range of skills. ConstructLab is the description of a collaborative construction practice that works on both temporary and permanent implementation. With their projects, ConstructLab combine thinking with doing, placing the project in a social, environmental, and temporal context. With their multifunctional support structures they operate in a variety of spaces.
Short-term scholarships and events
Since April 2021, many stakeholders have been shaping the Stadtgalerie as a place of critical confidence. 2022 is all about the possibilities of more just transformations in and through the cultural sector. The short-term scholarships follow on from this in terms of content.
In the context of the exhibition Table of Content by ConstructLab, we invite you to spend some time with us and to work with us.
The spaces of the Stadtgalerie are open for a dynamic exchange between the invitees and visitors. The result is a different form of mediation work, cooperation with cultural workers from the region, students from the universities on artistic positions and topics of ecological thinking and dynamic participation.
Scholarship holders can work in the exhibition rooms during opening hours and interact and exchange ideas with visitors. A small event format ties in with this theme-related work: e.g. through performance, workshop, discussion or the presentation of their own projects. The aim of the support is both concentrated work on one's own projects, as well as an exchange of content between cultural workers in the extended field of activity of the Stadtgalerie, as well as visitors and other interested parties.
Some of our short-term scholarship holders are:
Stefan Goldbach (musician), Rahel Pauli (artist/illustrator), Hannah Mevis (artist), Natalie Brück (artist), Celine Felber (communication designer) and Kyungju Kim (artist).
We will publish more scholarship holders and the individual programme points in the coming days.
The Stadtgalerie has invited ConstructLab to work together. Table of Content is a process. The exhibition builds a platform which is activated again and again by different players. References already created by ConstructLab offer points of contact and open up spaces for thought. Using sustainable materials, a kitchen and workshop are built into - the exhibition, enabling discourse, reflection and joint experimentation.
As visitors, you can expect an exploration of long-term participation, climate-responsive approaches and sustainable architecture, design and art in a link between international discourses and local contexts.
How can we still achieve and design a cross-species survival of the planet today? How do we shape structural change?
